#1 Brown -
The very best, period. Retains full natural color May have a minor tine
chip at worst. Chandelier and furniture grade.
#2 Brown - As
above, but will have damage such as a broken or chewed tine. Great for
knifemaking or whenever the antler is going to be cut anyway.
#1 Hard White
- Same as #1 brown, but, color is faded and
has very fine micro-cracks ( not open cracking ). Good smooth antler &
still excellent chandelier or furniture grade antlers, especially
when they will be recolored anyway.
#2 Hard white - As above but with damage such as a chewed
or broken tine, some light cracking. Suitable for use when antler will be cut anyway, but recoloring
or white antler is desirable.
Chalky
- Lowest grade. Our chalky antlers are still solid
and useable for some crafts, but best use as yard or habitat decor. These
have started to weather and are sandpaper rough and may have open cracks.
