HELP !!!!
I just found this behind the backing of
another piece of artwork. Overall size is 10 1/4" x 13 1/8". Bottom
edce is
slightly ragged as in a torn out portfolio page. Date is 2/14/56. Top
left photo is the
signed and dated side and top right photo is the flip side. Has
the water stain in lower left corner as shown and the 2 tape marks on
the back side. Piece is otherwise perfect. Appears to have been in the
found location for some time. Also appears to be an original
watercolor.
Any help with this one is appreciated. Glad to answer any questions.

dealer -" Also, the work "Unknown 2" on your
page by other artists is a lithograph by Picasso (that was printed in
a very large edition) and the colored abstract
is part of a Joan Miro lithograph. "

"At The Spring" 35/50 Absolutely stunning lithograph.
The detail is incredible. Look at that HOPI pot !! You can even
see the threads in her dress. This was bought in 1936-7 & I
have personally owned
this for the last 40 years. It is believed to have been done
between 1890 & 1920. It is numbered 35/50 and the title is "At The
Spring". The signature appears to be Charles Sindclair ? Image size is
8 1/2" x 10 1/2". Frames size is 15 1/8" x 17 1/8". No rips, tears,
stains, repairs, etc. I have not seen another of this caliber & it
belongs in a museum.

"York" by Charles M. Russell These were printed on heavy paper
by the Montana Historical Society in 1964 for the World's Fair. Most
languished in a Montana warehouse until found a few years back. Due to
the historical signifigance of this work, the original was
donated to the society in 1908 a year after he finished it. York was
the only black
member of the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery. This scene
took place in the Mandan villages in 1804-05. The Indians had never
seen a black man before and were trying to rub off the color
which they were sure had been painted on. Image size 16" x 22 1/8".
The original was done in 1908.
